Having a library card provides access to more than just books and magazine on shelves in the library; the card also gives you access to digital access to resources impacting our daily routines as well as our long-term goals.
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (MPG) - If you’re losing steam on your New Year’s resolution or need fresh inspiration to kick-start your goals, your library card will come in handy.
Library-goers can browse the library’s catalog for
books and materials, and also have free access to a wide range of digital
resources including videos, tutorials and apps.
For example, the online Craftsy has
video courses on healthy cooking and eating and a full collection of fitness
classes on stress management, sleep, supporting immunity, and exercise for all
fitness levels.
Get Healthy U TV is a newer addition to Hoopla BingePasses and
includes a diverse range of workouts for all fitness levels including yoga,
circuit training, kickboxing, and barre.
The Great Courses on Kanopy has
a Healthy Living collection featuring full courses on a range of health topics
for physical, mental and emotional well-being including mindfulness, strength
training, healthy cooking, yoga and building resilience. Kanopy also provides
free access to thousands of movies with a library card.

and college essay help. Your library card gives you free access to a wide range
of online tools to help you prepare for college entrance exams and essays.
Peterson’s
Test & Career Prep offers free GMAT, GRE, MCAT and
LSAT online practice tests. You’ll also find info on scholarships and financial
aid.
Tutor.com offers
online test prep and tutors who will work individually with students on AP,
International Baccalaureate (IB), ACT, SAT, and college admissions and
scholarship essays. Students can select a tutor based on their profile and
subject expertise and schedule a tutoring session at a time that works for
them.
