ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The Cosumnes Community Services District Board of Directors has announced that it is inviting community members to fill a vacant seat representing Division 3. The Board vacancy results from Director Jim Luttrell announcing his resignation on March 13.
Luttrell has served Division 3 since December 2016 and has been a dedicated advocate for the communities of Elk Grove and Galt.
During his eight-year tenure, Luttrell played a key role in major initiatives, including providing COVID-19 vaccines to first responders and the community, building and opening Cosumnes Fire Station 77, and building the CORE Recreation Center. He served as board president in 2021 and 2024.
“Director Luttrell has been a steady and thoughtful leader on the Board, always advocating for the best interests of our community. His dedication and service have made a lasting impact and we sincerely thank him for his service. We wish him all the best in his next chapter,” said Cosumnes CSD Board President Angela Spease.
Cosumnes CSD is a Special District that provides fire protection and emergency medical services in southern Sacramento County, as well as parks and recreation programs in Elk Grove. The Board of Directors guides these essential services, ensuring safe communities, quality recreational opportunities, and a high standard of living for residents.
