Elk Grove, CA – After a thoughtful and rigorous nationwide search, Cosumnes Community Services District has selected Tim Ogden as its next General Manager. The employment contract requires approval from the Board, scheduled for April 2. If approved, Ogden will join the District on April 30.

As General Manager, Ogden will oversee the Special District’s fire protection and emergency medical services in southern Sacramento County, as well as its parks and recreation programs in Elk Grove.

He will work closely with the Board of Directors to implement the District’s strategic vision and ensure high-quality services for the community.

“We were looking for a dynamic and experienced leader who could guide Cosumnes CSD into the future while staying true to our mission,” said Angela Spease, Cosumnes CSD Board President. “Tim brings the vision, expertise, and collaborative spirit needed to lead our District forward, and we’re excited to welcome him to the team.”

Ogden is an experienced municipal leader with a strong track record in city management, economic development, and community engagement. He has been the City Manager in Brentwood since 2020 and previously served as City Manager in Manteca and Waterford over the prior nine years.

Throughout his 23-year career, Ogden has led fire service expansions, major park projects, and business growth initiatives, including several award-winning programs and projects. Committed to public engagement, he has launched leadership roundtables, citywide surveys, and held public forums to strengthen community involvement.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join the Cosumnes CSD and the community we serve, and I am honored to step into this role,” said Ogden. “As the community continues to grow, the District has a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact. I look forward to working with the Board, our dedicated staff, and community partners to advance our mission, enhance services, and ensure Cosumnes CSD remains a cornerstone of safety and quality recreation.”
